On March 19, 2024, we will leave the darkness of winter and usher in the first day of spring also known as the Spring Equinox or the Vernal Equinox. Earth on this day will see equal parts day and night occurring when the Sun crosses the celestial equator, the imaginary line in the sky above the equator, going south to north.
The Spring Equinox heralds a time when the Earth comes alive again with the arrival of spring. It is a festival of rebirth, awakening, and development. A time when we celebrate moving out of the dark, coldness of winter and into the light and warmth of the spring. This will have us shifting our focus and energy from an "inward focus to an outward focus" (1). There can/may be some discomfort accompanying this change, but we must breathe and learn to navigate through the discomfort. This time will encourage one to be reborn and embrace the new beginning(s) that the Spring Equinox may bring. Remember, you are being reborn and coming alive!
One way of helping to relieve the discomfort is to begin to plant the seeds that leave you feeling inspired and ready to try new things. Be VERY clear with what it is you want and utilize the powerful growth and playful energies during this time. As we process the new energies of awakening, the one thing to remember is to find peace with this growth/rebirth process. Center yourself and move within the stillness. Plant those new seeds Warriors and do not be afraid to try new things. Whatever you decide to do, just have fun with it!
